Imagine a friend, who knows your taste in music well, approaches you with a cd in hand, from a musical a genre that you prefer.  The friend says, "Check out this cd."

  • You notice that the cd contains 12 tracks.  So you listen to it, to decide how many of the tracks you like.

  • You also take a look at the liner notes & packaging, noticing how elaborate or simple they are.

  • You wonder if the cd includes bonus features for DVD players, such as videos of some of the tracks.

  • You ask your friend about the availability of the cd.  Can you buy it in any store, or is it only for sale on the artist's website?

  • Finally, you wonder about the price of the disk.  It could sell for anywhere from $7 to $15.

So, depending upon each of these 5 factors, your intention to purchase the cd could vary dramatically.  But how much so?
